Hey! Japan just won the World Baseball Classic. Now I can watch Leno without worry.
Back to the Rockies. They beat soundly the Brewers of Milwaukee 7 runs to 1 run. That being said, I learned more about the Rockies than I thought I would. First things first, Ubaldo Jimenez was back in 2007 form. He had his fastball working in the mid to high 90's with lots of movement and off-speed pitches in the low to mid 80's. Jimenez was basically untouchable. He sawed off at least five Brewers and made another three look like they had too many brews. I really hope this can continue. Second, Todd "The Bod" Helton looks good. He went yard again today and had another RBI on top of that, plus his fielding looks as good as ever. Very promising. Josh Fogg was also great in an inning of relief. Now on to the not so good. Huston Street, I feel, will be the butt of many blog coming this summer. The person, who along with a couple of no namers, was of equal value as Matt Holiday did not look impressive at all. He came in with a seven run lead in the ninth. He proceeded to give up a run and load the bases before wriggling out on a great play by Ian Stewart and a pop fly. Thankfully this was not a save opportunity or it would have been like Brian Fuentes never left. Altogether, the Rockies looked better than I thought they would and Lord knows the N.L. West is terrible. So, maybe there is a chance for our Rockies.
A couple of other notes: The Nuggets don't know which way they're going, but if you ever get a chance to hear the Suns T.V. announcers do it. It is the saddest thing ever, like boom goes the dynamite with homosexual undertones. Also, my bracket has a chance, but it's not looking good. Finally, the Broncos will play the Giants at Invesco on Thanksgiving night, making it the second time out of the three years the NFL has offered at third game the Broncos will be playing in it. I thought that thing was supposed to rotate?
Also, tell your friends about me!!!!

shit will rotate when the broncos stop being a massive fuckin draw.
ReplyDeleteI feel like they balance it between teams that have a chance, teams that bring in crowds and teams that are traditional..
either way you should be thankful you have something to watch...
